Hi,
I am just getting into this and working on hooking up a single ended encoder to pin 42 and 43 on my kflop with no additional dynomotion hardware.
There is no motor wired to it yet to move anything, but it is programmed and does jog digitally for channel 3 (4th axis)
It is reading the io state changes in digital io screen, but is not moving in 'position' on the axis screen. Just moving the encoder by hand.
The input channel is registered for encoder as the input and the channels point to io bits 42&43.
What else am I missing here?
Second question- I am trying to wrap my head around channels and io pin assignments,, why does the kmotion software not allow drop down selection or manual input of io bits for both channels when set to "encoders" as the input? And why does it only allow selection of 0-14 in the non-greyed out box?
Thanks,
Rob

You seem to be confusing Pin Numbers with IO numbers as well as Pin Numbers and Device Channels.
